How Do I Add My Professional Title so That It Appears When I Sign Documents in the EMR?

Issue

The user would like their professional title to appear beside their name when they sign forms and evaluations in the EMR. 

Environment

Kipu EMR, All Roles, User Profile

Resolution

A staff member's professional title, such as L.P.N., MD, Ph.D., and/or LCSW, etc., can be added to their user profile so that it shows next to their name when they sign items in the EMR. Users can maintain their own profiles, or they can be completed by a Super Admin. 

  1. If you are updating your own title, begin by clicking on your initials
  2. Next, enter your password. 
    • Super Admins can select Manage Users from the profile drop-down. 
    • Then search for the desired staff member's profile and click Edit
  3. Enter the applicable title in the Title field. 
  4. Scroll to the bottom and click Update to save. 
  5. Now, the title will appear next to the user's name whenever they sign and complete items in the EMR.
