Konnectors: Pharmacy

Setting up Pharmacy Konnectors is an important step if your facility is planning on faxing orders to a pharmacy.

When using the pharmacy konnector, keep the following in mind:

• You are not required to set up a Pharmacy Konnector.
• You can set up a pharmacy for each individual patient if you are an outpatient facility, or if the patient cannot use the default pharmacy for any reason.
• If you are using DrFirst/Rcopia, follow the instructions here for adding a pharmacy.

Required Permissions: Only Super Admins can set up Konnectors. 

Create a new Pharmacy Konnector

1. To begin, click on your initials and then click Settings. 
   
2. Then click the Konnectors tab.

3. Then click the New Konnector button.
4. Add the name of the pharmacy in the Konnector Name field, select Pharmacy from the drop-down menu, then click the Register button.
• Important: Your instance may already have multiple Pharmacy Konnectors if you are using the Fax to Pharmacy feature.
5. Select the Enabled checkbox to enable the konnector.
6. Choose the location (or locations) where you want the pharmacy konnector to be available.
7. Fill out the pharmacy details and any necessary notes.
8. Enter the pharmacy's fax number, and the fax footer information.
9. When all the steps have been completed, and any additional information has been added, scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the Update.
