The Super Admin permission is required to access and make changes to the Dictionaries tab.

Click on your initials and select Settings.
- Then click on Billing > Dictionaries.
Authorization Status

To view the authorization statuses available click on Authorization Status to view authorization statuses.
- Approved
- Denied
- New
- Pending:
- Not Required
- Appeal
- Approved
- These statuses appear in the status column of the Billing tabs, and on patient facesheets in the Authorization/Utilization Reviews section.
Do Not Bill Reasons
If you’d like to track and report why charges are not sent to your Integrated Billing Partner (CMD, Avea, or HL7), configure Do Not Bill Reasons. This workflow is supported for all Integrated Billing Types (Avea, CMD, HL7 Download)
- Click on Do Not Bill Reasons to expand the section.

Click + Item to create your list of Do Not Bill Reasons.
- Type the new reason into the field and click the check mark to save or the x to cancel.
- To edit or delete an existing item, click on the edit pencil or the trash icon.

Now, when a charge is marked as Don’t Bill on the Billing Report or on the Billing tab of a patient chart, the user will be prompted to select a reason.
Place of Service
You can enable and disable place of service options in this section.
- If you want to disable a place of service option and remove it from place of service options, toggle the option off (to the left).
- To view disabled options, set the Show Disabled toggle to on (to the right).
