Kipu RCM (Avea) Konnector

  • Updated

The Kipu RCM Konnector ensures that the data in the Kipu EMR is routed to the correct facility in the RCM with the appropriate rendering provider.

Important: Each RCM Facility must have its own Konnector set up in the Kipu EMR.

Example configuration options:

  • One to One: 2 Kipu Locations and 2 RCM Facilities = 2 Konnectors
  • One to Many: 1 Kipu Location and 2 RCM Facilities = 2 Konnectors. In this instance, Bill by Program or Bill by Building will need to be configured as well on the Kipu side to ensure the patient information is routed to the correct RCM Facility.
  • Many to One: 3 Kipu Locations and 1 RCM Facility = 1 Konnector.

Facesheet Behavior When the Konnector is Deleted or Disabled

  • If a konnector is deleted, it will remain visible on any linked patient facesheets. However, the External App Name and Unique Patient ID fields will not be editable.
  • Additionally, if you click on the Send to Avea button, you'll see the following error message.
  • Clicking X Delete External App will remove the record from the facesheet.
  • If a konnector has been disabled, clicking on the Send to Avea button will result in an error message stating that the konnector is disabled.
