The Doses to Dispense section on the MAT Order screen populates automatically based on the patient’s active medication order schedule. You can deny a dose if administration is not appropriate. For example, if the patient has an abnormal lab result or arrives visibly intoxicated.
Deny Dose
Use the following steps to deny the patient's dose for the current day. If a doese is denied, no takeouts can be provided either.
- Open the MAT Order tab from the Dosing Queue or from the patient chart.
- In the Doses to Dispense section, click on the Menu icon.
- Select Deny.
- In the pop-up window, enter the reason for denial and click Submit.
- The denied dose appears in the patient’s MAT Log with the recorded denial reason. When a dose is denied, no takeouts can be provided for that day.
Reverse a Denied Dose
If you need to reverse a denied dose and restore it for dispensing:
- In the Doses to Dispense section, click on the Menu icon.
- Click Yes to reset as Doses to Dispense.
- The system will reset the order to its original state and allow dispensing.
