Create a Change Order to update the patient's current MAT Order.
Important: Changing a MAT Order copies the existing order information with a new start date of today or the last date of existing doses, if the patient has already received medication for future dates. Once the change order is saved, the previous order is automatically discontinued and the change order becomes the patient's Current/Active Order.
- Open the patient chart and click on the MAT Order tab.
- Next, click on the Change Order button.
- In the Change Order window, you can update any of the order information. This includes:
- Updating the patient's Phase.
- Changing the MAT Medication being dispensed.
- Choosing a different order type, e.g., moving from a Standard to a Taper order.
- Updating the patient's Scheduled Onsite days (e.g., moving from daily to three times a week).
- Changing the patient's Dosing information.
- Adding a Split dosage.
- Once you've completed the Change Order, Doctor users can click Submit to sign and create the new order. Other users will need to select the Ordering Physician from the Ordered By drop-down and the ordering method from the Ordered Via drop-down.
-
Dose Alert: You may receive a Dose Alert when submitting the Change Order if the variance in medication ordered equals or exceeds the Dose Out of Range setting for the medication based on the patient's previous order. You can click Continue to proceed with the order creation or Cancel to review and adjust the order as needed.
- From the Order History section, the previous order is marked as Canceled and the newly created order is set as the patient's Current/Active order.
