MAT facilities can take advantage of the EMR's self-service Kiosk, allowing patients to check themselves into the facility.
When using Kiosk, you can configure your Queues to automatically check the patient into a specific Queue based on their scheduled appointment type(s). This feature will override the default queue. Additionally, you can configure a message (or instructions) to display to the patient after check-in.

Video Instructions
- To begin, click on your initials and then click Settings.
- Then click the Queues tab.
- Click on the Edit icon for the Queue where you'd like to set up the appointment check-in functionality.
- Use the checkboxes to select one or more Appointment Types.
- Note: Appointment types cannot be assigned to more than one queue in the same location. For example: Since Individual Session is now assigned to the Counseling queue, it cannot also be assigned to the Provider queue.
- Add optional check-in instructions in the text box. This custom message will be displayed in the Kiosk once the patient has checked in.
- Click Submit.
- Now, when a patient scheduled with one of the selected appointment types checks in via Kiosk, they'll be placed in the related Queue instead of the Default Queue.
Check-In Time
The time the patient checks in does impact queue assignment. If the patient misses their appointment window, they'll be checked in the default queue instead of the appointment-assigned queue.
- If the patient checks in through Kiosk prior to or during the appointment time, they will be checked into the queue associated with the appointment.
- Example: The appointment is from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. If the patient checks in through Kiosk any time before or during the appointment (before 11:00 am) the system will check the patient into the queue associated with their appointment type.
- If the patient checks in through Kiosk after the appointment time, they will be checked into the default queue.
- Example: The appointment is from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. If the patient checks in at 11:15 am, they will be checked into the default queue instead of the queue originally mapped to the appointment type.
