Queue Display and Announcements

  • Updated

Queues are displayed in a facility lobby or waiting area on a TV or other electronic device.

This feature includes an audio message that announces the next Patient ID to be processed and which window the patient should go to. You can also include an announcement on the display.

  • Waiting: When patients are checked into a queue, their Patient ID will be listed in the Waiting column on the Queue Display. If the dispensing user returns the patient to the queue, the display will update to reflect this change.
  • Now Processing: When a user clicks Start from the Queue, the patient becomes associated with a pump and the display will move the patient from the Waiting column to the Now Processing column and display the name of the window where the patient should go to be processed. Patients can be added to Now Processing from any queue.
  • Announcements: The system displays the message set up by a Super Admin under Settings > Queue. Facilities usually use messages to display changes to their schedule, facility closure on holidays, invitations to community events, etc.

How to Set Up a Queue Display

To display queues and announcements on your facility device, use the following steps to create a display user. Please set up one display user for each display screen.

Required Permissions: Super Admins and users with the Manage User feature can complete the following steps.

  8. Log into the device using your instance URL. Enter the display user's credentials (username and password) and accept the Terms and Conditions.
  9. The display is now ready to be used.

How to Create an Announcement

Super admins can set up messages to be shown on the Queue Display in the waiting room or lobby under Announcements. Usually, facilities create messages to notify patients of changes to the facility schedule on holidays, to display invitations to community events, etc.

  1. Announcements are configured in Settings > Queues. Ensure that you've selected the correct location from the header before accessing Queues. mceclip0.png
