This feature is currently in limited release to a select group of clients and will be rolling out to everyone in the coming months.
Once you have added individuals to the Management and Ownership section of Kipu Payments' Account Management section, you can edit existing individuals, and remove account representatives, owners, and individuals.
Required Permissions: Super Admins
Once individuals are added as owners or representatives, you can edit their information as needed. Additionally, you can remove an owner as a representative (you will need to create or assign a new representative) or remove an owner completely.
For all editing, you will start by clicking Edit.
You can now edit any of the fields as needed. Be sure to click Submit when you're done to preserve your changes.
Remove Owner (Keep as Account Representative)
If an individual is both an owner and the account representative, and you want to leave them as the account representative but remove them as an owner, unselect the This person owns 25% or more of the company box, scroll to the bottom and click Submit. They will remain the account representative but no longer be listed as an owner.
Remove Account Representative (And Add a New One)
If you need to remove account representatives, follow these instructions.
- To begin, scroll down to the bottom of the Edit Individual window, click Remove as account representative text and click Submit.
- Confirm that you want to remove the person as a representative and acknowledge that you must add and verify a new representative, otherwise payments may be affected.
Add a New Representative
While you do not immediately need to add a new representative, it is very important to add one and get them verified within seven days, otherwise payment capabilities and account payouts may be delayed.
- To add a new representative, from the Management and Ownership section click Choose. You will have the option to add a new individual or you can choose an existing owner.
- To add a new individual as representative, click Add someone new.
- You will be asked again to recognize that the representative must be verified within seven days or payments capabilities and account payouts might be delayed. Click Update Representative.
- Add the individual's legal first and last name, as well as their email address and click Add.
- In order to verify the individual, locate them in the Management and Ownership section and click Edit. You will be prompted to complete the same fields as discussed above.
Remove Individual
To entirely remove a user, if they are only listed as an owner, click Remove Person at the bottom of the Edit Individual window. If they are an account representative you must first follow the steps to remove them as an account representative before the Remove Person can be clicked.
Confirm that you want to remove the person to complete the process.
