MAT: Allow Transfers Between Different Lot Numbers

The Allow transfers between different lot numbers feature allow users to consolidate remaining pump medication into any bottle of the same medication even when the bottles have different lot numbers. It also supports returning pre-poured units to an open bottle.

Important: This feature must be enabled first in MAT Inventory Settings. The Allow Transfers Between Different Lot Numbers allows pump medications to be transferred between bottles with different lot numbers. If Unit Inventory is in use, returned units will be placed back into the user’s open bottle when available.

Once the feature is enabled, follow these steps to move medication between bottles with different lot numbers:

1. In the Pump tab, ensure the Start of Day Procedure has been completed.
2. In the Change Bottle tab, click Transfer In to begin adding medication to the bottle.
3. The system automatically takes you to the Transfer In tab. Confirm the medication name and current quantity. This is the receiving bottle. Example quantity before transfer: 41923.728 mg
4. Choose the appropriate bottle from the Transfer From dropdown. This is the source bottle containing the medication being moved. The lot number is different, but the medication is the same. Example source quantity: 28,923.729 mg
5. Click Sign and Submit. Sign in the signature box and click Submit to complete the transfer.
6. Go to the Inventory tab and locate the Transferred In transaction. 
   Example new bottle quantity after transfer: 70,847.457 mg
7. Click on the Medication Name to review the transaction details.
8. Review the medication, quantity remaining, and recent transactions.
9. Select the Transferred In transaction to view the full transfer and adjustment details.
