Text Message Reminders

Sending text messages to remind patients about upcoming appointments can decrease cancellations and no-shows.

Enable SMS Reminders

Super Admins can use the following instructions to enable text messaging for only $0.02 cents per text message: 

1. Click your initials in the upper right of the Kipu EMR and choose Settings.
2. Select the Instance tab.
3. Scroll to the Enterprise Scheduler section and check the box for Enable Text Communications.
4. Agree to the $0.02 SMS fee.
5. Finally, click Submit to save the changes.

Reporting on Text Messages

Once messages have been sent and received, statuses, total cost, and other data points can be tracked in the Scheduler Communication Report.
