Scheduler: Enabling Alternative Software for Telehealth Appointments

The Kipu EMR has integrated with Zoom to provide telehealth functionality through Scheduler, offering a seamless client experience, enhanced reporting, and robust security. However, if your facility prefers a different video conferencing platform, you can configure the EMR to manually support other conferencing platforms.

Set Up Appointment Communications

To begin, set up the appointment communication for telehealth appointments.

  1. To begin, click on your initials and then click Settings
  2. Then click the Scheduler tab.
  1.  Next, open the Appointment Communications tab.
  2. Select the desired appointment name and click on the Edit icon.
  3. Click Appointment Notes to add the macro allowing patients to access the telehealth link from the notes section of their scheduled appointment.
  4. Click Save.

Scheduling a Telehealth Appointment

  1. From the patient's chart or from Scheduler, add or edit an appointment.
  2. Copy the telehealth link for the session from your virtual meeting system.
  3. Paste the link into the Notes field when scheduling the appointment.
  4. Click Save.
