The End of Day procedure occurs at the close of the window at the end of the treatment day. It includes emptying the medication and cleaning the pump.
Required Permissions: Super Admins and users with the Manage Pump feature can access the Pump tab to complete the End of Day procedure.
End of the Day Workflow

Click on the Pump tab in the header and select the End of Day tab.

Click on the Empty Medication to remove medication from the tubing. Adjust the Time in Secs fields to control the pump’s run time. Super Admins can set default values in MAT Settings.

During the process, the Abort button becomes available to immediately stop pump activity if needed.

Click Close Medication.

The system will send you to the Change Bottle tab. Enter the bottle weight in grams. The system displays an expected bottle weight that should match the actual weight.

Note: The EMR will generate an alert message when the weight entered varies from what is expected. In this scenario, click OK to continue after verifying accuracy.

Click Sign and Submit.
- Add your signature in the Signature box, then click Submit.
- The system will return you to the End of Day tab and a green confirmation message will appear, showing that the bottle has been closed successfully, including the serial number and lot number.

Click Prime Cleaning Solution to flush the pump with the cleaning solution.
Tips for End-of-Day Procedure
- If medication has been primed or dispensed, the Empty Medication option is available but the Prime Cleaning Solution option is not.
- Once the medication has been emptied, the Check In Medication button becomes available and redirects the user to the Change Bottle screen.
- If medication has been emptied, the Prime Cleaning Solution becomes available.
- The Abort button is available during both Empty Medication and Prime Cleaning Solution activities.
