When a patient doesn’t exist in CollaborateMD or updates need to be made to a patient's chart in CollaborateMD, you can create or update their CMD record directly from the Kipu EMR.
Required Permissions: Users must have Super Admin, Utilization Review Internal, or Manage Utilization Review view and use the following areas.
Click here for a full list of fields that will transmit to CMD from the EMR.
- Start by locating and opening the patient chart.
- Click Edit Patient on the Information tab.
- Scroll to the External Apps section and click Add External App.
- Click on the External App Name drop-down and choose the appropriate Konnector.
- Click the Send to CollaborateMD button.
- You will receive confirmation that the patient has been created (or updated) in CMD.
- The patient should be searchable by patient ID or name in CMD.
Important: Please note that the CMD integration is one-directional, meaning that information can only flow from the Kipu EMR to CollaborateMD. If you update demographic information in CMD, these changes will not be reflected in the Kipu EMR. Additionally, these changes will be overwritten in CMD each time you transmit patient demographics from the EMR. Therefore, we recommend making all demographic updates directly in the Kipu EMR and using the Send to CollaborateMD button to transmit those changes to CMD.
