The Current Unit Inventory displays all doses that were prepared [pre-poured] during a Unit Dispensing session but have not yet been given to patients. These units remain available for dispensing until they are assigned and administered.
As soon as doses are dispensed from a Unit Dispensing session, they automatically appear in the Current Unit Inventory tab, allowing staff to track all active units in real time.
Required Permissions: Super Admins, pharmacists, and users with the Manage Inventory feature have access to this workflow. Pharmacists will need Manage Inventory and Manage Pump access (if their facility dispenses medication via pump) for complete usage.
Navigate to the Unit Inventory by clicking Inventory > Unit Inventory > Current Unit Inventory.
