The Integration tab allows you to set up Integrations and Konnectors for your Kipu Instance.
Please note: Some Konnectors are only available after adding paid features to your Kipu EMR like Labs or Integrated Billing. Others are free, but require contacting support to get the feature turned on for your account.
Available Integrations
The following integrations are available for your Kipu EMR instance:
- FoRSE: NAATP's Foundation for Recovery Science and Education treatment Outcomes Program. Click here for setup instructions.
Available Konnectors
Konnectors are used to connect third-party software to your EMR account, allowing the two interfaces to communicate with each other.
The following Konnectors are available for use in the Kipu EMR. As mentioned above, not all Konnectors listed here will be present in your instance.
- Avea: Connect your AveaOffice Billing account to Kipu.
- Collaborate MD: Connect your CMD Billing account to Kipu.
- External App: This connector is for the Kipu API.
- Kipu Messenger: This Konnector is related to the legacy Messenger functionality that has recently been replaced by the Kipu Portal which doesn't require a Konnector.
- Lab/Analyzer Interface: View the labs/analyzers connected to your instance and their status. This Konnector can only be added by the Kipu Labs team and is read-only once configured.
- Liquid Dispensing Pump: Connect Methadone pumps for MAT clinics. Click here for setup instructions.

Pharmacy: This Konnector is used by two separate Kipu features:
- eFax: Electronically fax orders to pharmacies. Click here for setup instructions.
- ePrescribe: Electronically generate, send and fill a medical prescription, replacing paper and faxed prescriptions. Click here for setup instructions.
- Practice Suite: This Konnector can only be set up by the support team, however, you can edit the Konnector details once configured. Click here to learn more.
- Scheduled Report: Schedule any Kipu report to run and export in CSV format automatically to an SFTP (Secure File Transfer Protocol) destination of your choice. Click here for setup instructions.
- Upload to File Server: This konnector allows you to upload schedule and billing reports, choose default providers, and send them to your SFTP server by instance or by location. Click here for setup instructions.
- VOBGetter: This Konnector allows instantaneous verification of a client's eligibility for insurance benefits and provides basic benefit information. Click here for setup instructions. Only Super Admins can access the Integrations/Konnectors tab for VOBGetter.
In this section, Support can also set up a Biller konnector. This allows a third-party biller (e.g., Gold Certified Billers) access to your EMR account to complete key billing functions on your behalf.
