In order to access Kipu Academy as a learner, you must either receive an invite email from your organization or create your own account to begin.
Create an Account
You can create your own account directly from Kipu Academy.
- Once you navigate to the academy, click Register Now.
- Enter your email, create a password, and confirm your password, then click Register.
- Open the email from the Kipu Education team.
- Enter your first name and last name, and be sure to click Save. Scroll down to the Home Page section of this guide to continue.
Logging In (Invitation)
- To begin, check your email and click on the invite link.
- There are two ways you may be prompted to sign in for the first time, through an invite depending on your facility's preferences.
- In the first method, someone from your facility will provide you with a temporary password in addition to the email invite. If you have been supplied a password, you will click the link and enter the password to log in. You may be prompted to change your password right away, otherwise, you should do so from your user settings.

The second method requires a few more steps. Once you click on the email link, you will be prompted to create your own password.

Once you register, you will be prompted to enter your first name and last name. Be sure to click Save.
Home Page
- Once you have logged in and completed registration (if needed), you will see your Home page.
- To change your password or make other changes to your account, click on your initials, and then on your name.
- Click Update your password. You'll be prompted to enter your current password and then the new one.
Locating Assigned Learning Materials
Once you have logged in, if you have already been assigned courses, learning paths, or learning journeys, you can find them on your Home or My Learning tab. Click on the desired course/learning path/learning journey to begin!
- To start a course, select it and then click on the Start Now button.
- Follow the steps indicated in the course to complete it. If needed, you can click Save and exit at the top of the screen to save your progress. Once you have saved your progress, you can close the course and return to it later.
- Once you have begun a course, your progress will appear.
Catalog
If you are interested in browsing the catalog of courses to discover materials beyond the ones assigned to you, you can click Catalog. To add a course, click on it or hover over it, then select the Enroll button to add it to the My learning and Home tabs. Otherwise, you can simply click Start Now.
