Managing Portal Accounts

  • Updated

Monitor and manage Patient Portal accounts from the Portal Accounts tab of the Kipu Access Management page.

From the Portal Accounts tab, you can view portal registration status, resend the portal invitation email, change a user’s portal login email address, view charts connected to a portal account, disconnect the patient/contact from a portal account, and disable/enable a portal account.

Additionally, portal user's last login time is reflected for each account (in the portal user's local time zone).

Note: Only Super Admins and users with Manage Users permission can access this page.

Can an EMR user reset a portal user’s password?

No. For security reasons, an EMR user cannot manage a portal user’s password. EMR users should direct the portal user to the Forgot Password link and workflow on the Patient Portal login page.
