Issue

I am trying to send claims but keep getting the following error message:

"CollaborateMD: Error -The provider is not configured to send claims. Once the submitter ID is set and the provider is in TEST or PROD mode, any claims still set to send to the clearinghouse will be sent."

The claims are currently in the Send To Insurance status, so I am unsure if they will process or how to resolve this issue.

Environment

CollaborateMD, Claims

Resolution

This error indicates a problem with the provider setup. Follow these steps to resolve the issue:

1. Verify the mode for the Bill Professional/Institutional Claims section:

If this section is set to HOLD, claims will not transmit to the payer. Change the drop-down to PROD

Note: This adjustment can only be made if the provider has been saved and has a submitter ID.

2. Confirm the provider's active status:

If the provider has been marked inactive in the Customer Setup section, the Bill Professional/Institutional Claims mode will default to HOLD. Ensure the provider is active to allow claims to process.
