Settings: ePrescribe

  • Updated

The ePrescribe settings tab allows super admins to manage ePrescribe features for the instance and for specific locations.

  1. To begin, click on your initials in the top right, then click Settings.
  2. Then click the ePrescribe tab.

General

In the General tab, you can enable the features that require prescriptions to be manually started and allow MARs to be generated without signatures.

  • For more information on enabling the Require Prescriptions to be Manually Started feature, click here.
  • For more information on enabling the Allow MARs Generation Without Signature feature, click here.

Note: Enabling either of these features here enable them for all locations in your instance, unless they have different settings selected in the Location Settings tab.

The Hx button allows you to view the enable/disable history of each setting, who changed it, and when it was changed.

Location Settings

In the Location Settings tab, you can add and edit ePrescribe locations.

Add Location

  1. To add a location, click the + Add Location button.
  2. Then select the desired location from the Location drop-down and click Add Location.
    • As indicated, the location you select must have the following information recorded in Settings > Company:
      • Location Name
      • Street Address
      • City
      • State
      • Zip
      • Phone
      • Fax
  3. The chosen location will then appear in the Location Settings list.

  2. If you need a location to have different settings for showing e-prescriptions in the MAR and manually starting prescriptions from the settings chosen in the General tab, you can change them here. You can also enable the Pending Discontinued Medications feature (instructions for using this feature can be found in this article)
