MAT Non-Pump Medications OTP Overview

  • Updated

Non-pump medications are a critical part of MAT services in Opioid Treatment Programs (OTPs). These medication such as Buprenorphine, Sublocade, and Vivitrol are dispensed in non-liquid forms and require precise tracking, bottle management, and documentation to meet regulatory requirements. Kipu’s Non-Pump Medication workflows support accurate dispensing, safe storage, and compliant handling of all non-liquid MAT medications.

Non-pump MAT medication management is essential for maintaining compliance with federal and state regulations. Because these medications are not dispensed through automated pumps, accurate inventory tracking and clear documentation are critical to ensure correct medication counts, proper handling of controlled substances, and safe administration to patients. Consistent processes also help OTP facilities remain prepared for audits and inspections.

Required Permissions: Super Admins, and users with Manage Medications Inventory feature can manage non-pump medications from Inventory.

Kipu provides filtering, bottle tracking, real-time status updates, and integrated signatures to support safe, compliant medication workflows.
