Why Can't I See Billable Items Under a Specific Location?

Issue

When selecting a specific location from the drop-down menu of your Kipu EMR instance, I am unable to see billable items for a patient who has changed locations.

Environment

Kipu EMR, Patient Chart: Information tab > Location History

Resolution

Billables will only be displayed in the location where they were created. You may not be able to find a billable within a specific location when a patient is assigned to one location on the facesheet with a specific start date (e.g., Location A) and later moved to a different location with a new start date (e.g., Location B). 

To display all billables, please toggle the top drop-down menu to My Locations to transmit the billable items.

Note: It is not recommended to change a patient’s location within the same chart. The preferred workflow is to discharge the patient and readmit them to the new location.
