Golden Thread: Progress Notes

Golden Thread enabled Progress Notes to allow you to add documentation on the patient's treatment and tie the progress note to the patient's established problems, treatment plans, goals, and/or objectives covered during the session. You can also pre-populate progress note components, such as sentences or phrases to quickly complete documentation in compliance with facility protocols.

Create a Progress Note

 To add a progress note:

1. Open the patient chart tab containing the golden thread progress note evaluation. Because evaluations can be customized by each facility, the name and patient chart location of this evaluation will vary.
2. Click Add form.
3. Select the Progress Note evaluation by clicking Add.
   
4. Click the Edit icon to open the form.
5. Enter your notes. You can also click the content icon to open the pre-populated list of options as configured in the General tab of Golden Thread settings. 
6. Click on the + Golden Thread button and select the treatment elements that were discussed during the session. Click Submit to save.
7. After completing your Progress Note, click Sign & Submit to save and close.
8. This progress note will be included in the patient's Golden Thread List View under the items selected from the Golden Thread button. 

It's likely that you'll add many of these Golden Thread Progress Notes throughout the patient's treatment.
