PRN Medications Behavior in Med Log

Where medications marked as PRN in the order appear on the Med Log is based on the Frequency type specified in the order:

• If a PRN medication is given a frequency with a set time (e.g three times a day at 9pm), then the medication will show in the Medications section with Type set to PRN.
• If a PRN medication is given an interval frequency (e.g. every 4 hours), then it will show in the PRN Medications section.

If you prefer your PRN Medications to show up in the PRN section of the Med Log, we recommend creating interval frequencies you can use for your PRN. Frequencies are defined by Super Admin users under Settings > Orders.
