The Refinement Requested feature allows a review user to send an evaluation back to a staff member for additional edits before the review signature is added. Comments can be added to the document by the review user, and an optional notification can automatically be sent to the staff user to alert them that refinement has been requested.
Permissions: There are no new user permissions associated with this enhancement. The signature functions listed on the evaluation template will continue to control the staff and review access to the document.
Evaluation Template Setup
Super admins and users with the Manage Templates or Manage Templates – Consents and Evaluations features enabled will be able to confirm the correct setup of the evaluation templates under Templates > Evaluations. For more detailed instructions on evaluation templates, check out this article.
Make sure that the Evaluation type, Evaluation content, Staff signature user titles, and staff review signature user titles fields are filled out as indicated below.
- Choose Insurance form, Pre-Admission form, or Standard form, in the Evaluation type field and make sure that the Evaluation content field is set to Standard. Do not select treatment plans or any other options.
- The template must have at least one signature function selected under both the Staff signature user titles and Staff review signature user titles to move to the Ready for Review status.
- Note: Refinement Requested is not compatible with templates set up for only staff signatures. Documents created from such templates will move from In Progress directly to Completed.
Notification Setup
If desired, users with the role of Super Admin can set up the Refinement Requested Notification template in Settings/Notifications. If configured, users will receive notifications when evaluations are returned to them for refinement. For more detailed instructions on setting up notifications, click here.
