Import and Export: Consents and Evaluations

  • Updated

The Import and Export feature can be used to share a consent or evaluation form across Kipu instances when a Super Admin from each instance gives the approval for the form to be shared. You can also use that feature to make a copy of an existing form within the same instance. This can be helpful to make updates to an existing form without causing issues for users working with the current form while you are working on it.

Export Consent or Evaluation Templates

For this example, we show how to export an Evaluation template but the process is exactly the same as the Consent form templates.

  1. Go to Templates > Evaluations.mceclip0.png
  2. Locate the form you want to export and click the Export button.

  3. This will automatically download the form as a .json file on your computer.

Import the Template

Once you've exported the .json, follow the steps below to upload the consent or evaluation form into the instance.

  1. Open the Consent or Evaluation tab (depending on the form type) and click the Import button and you will get a pop-up.mceclip0.png
  2. Use the Choose Files button to locate the form download, it should be under the Downloads unless your computer settings are set up to put it elsewhere.

  3. Click on the .json file and select Import to upload it to the instance.mceclip4.png
  4. After the form is finished uploading, locate the imported document using Ctrl+F for windows or Cmd+F for Mac. This is the easiest way to search for it.
  5. You will see the form text is grayed out. All forms are imported as disabled to allow you to make changes before making the form available for use.mceclip5.png
  6. Click the Edit icon to enable and update the form as needed.
  7. Common updates include changing the name, giving it a tab to be housed in, adding signature requirements, and anything else that the form needs for your facility.mceclip6.png
  8. Click Update to save your changes.
