MAT Flags Report

Flags reports pull data from flags assigned to patient charts. New to Flags? Check out this article for configuration instructions.

Super Admin and Records Admin users can create the following report: 

  1. To begin, click on the Reports tab in the header. blobid0.png
  2. Next, click on the Flags tab. You can review a list of existing patients who have flags assigned in this section.
  3. If desired, search for a specific patient by name using the Search field. blobid1.png
  4. Clicking on Advanced Search will allow you to select additional filters.blobid2.png
  5. Severity: The severity options are configured by super admins under Settings > Flags. Choose the desired severity from the drop-down list.

    • Critical: Critical flags are red and display as a blinking red dot on the patient tile. They also appear as a red banner in the patient chart until resolved.
    • Warning: Warning flags appear as yellow dots on the patient tile.   
    • Informational: Informational flags appear as blue dots on the patient tile. 
  6. Status: Select one or more of the following flag statuses from the drop-down list. blobid4.png
    • Created: All flags that have been added to patient charts. 
    • Pending: Flags that have been added and are pending resolution.
    • Resolved: Flags that have been solved and documented. 
    • Canceled: Flags that have been cancelled and deleted from patient charts. 
    • Expired: Flag has ExpiredIf an End Date field was entered at the time of creation, once the date passed, the flag will show as expired. 
  7. Category: Select one or more categories to search by. Available options are configured by super admin in SettingsFlags. blobid5.png
  8. Criteria: Select one of the following criteria from the drop-down list. Results will display based on the option chosen and the timeframe set in the following step. blobid10.png
    • Census: pull data from active patients in the census with assigned flags during the dates specified in the next step. 
    • Created At: pull data from flags created during the date/time specified in the next step. 
    • Resolved At: pull data from flags resolved during the date/time specified in the next step. 
    • Start Date: pull data from flags started on a particular date/time specified in the next step. 
    • End Date: pull data from flags ended in a particular date/time specified in the next step. 
    • Admission Date: pull data from flagged patients admitted on a date/time specified in the next step. 
    • Discharge Date: pull data from flagged patients discharged on a date/time specified in the next step 
  9. After you have selected a Criteria, enter a date and time range. Select the date from the calendar and adjust the time using the sliding bars if necessary. Click the Now button in the calendar pop-up to report the current date/time. Click Done to complete.

View the Report 

The Flags report allows you to view patient flags, flag severity (based on the color code), patient information, start and end date, flag status, the staff member who created and resolved the flag, comments, and the flag resolution.

  • Click on the Sort icon in the report’s column titles to organize the data as desired. By default, the report is organized chronologically with the latest flag appearing first. blobid8.png
  • Finally, this report allows users to resolve the flags by clicking under the Resolve, Acknowledge, or Cancel button if desired.

Export Flag Reports

Results can be exported to CSV files by clicking Export to CSV
