- API: API Users will now have access to PUT and PATCH contacts. PATCH will update at a field level, while PUT will completely replace the Contact record.
- API: Vitals, COWS, and both CIWA endpoints will now include the “create at” information. Additionally, there are two new optional parameters; interval_time and created_at.
- Billing: Added a new payor rule to apply a different type of per diem bundling. For more detailed information, check out this article.
- Billing: Made further improvements to the aesthetics of the billing reports to improve reading capability and use of vertical space.
- Billing: Added the ability to filter billing reports by MR# in addition to patient name. Check out this article for more information on the Billing Report tab.
- Billing: Added a new filter to the Discharge Date column of the billing report that allows you to show only discharged or non-discharged patients.
- Billing: We have improved the Unit Billing payor rule to allow the Maximum Allowed Units to be configured for Quantity Billing as well. For more information on Unit Billing payor rules, click here.
- Billing: When you add a subsequent evaluation to the patient chart using the create_evaluation field, the claim format and code of the subsequent evaluation will be automatically added to the billing report. This functionality only applies to billable, ancillary evaluations with a single code added to the template. For more information, click here.
- Billing: On the patient’s page for integrated billing, the patient’s Billed tab and Do Not Bill tab will now display the most recent DOS on page one to reduce user navigation when auditing patient billing data.
- Billing: For customers using the Avea integration, insurance card images documented in Avea will now appear in Kipu. For more information, check out this article.
- CHESS Health Logs: We have made enhancements to include search and filtering options, which will enable users to search logs more efficiently.
- Group Sessions: A new hard stop validation has been added to the Groups 2.0 notes. When a group session template is properly set up as ancillary and includes billing codes, the group leader will receive a warning when clicking the Group Leader Sign Off & Submit button if no billing code was selected in the note. They will not be able to sign the group session note until they select a code at the top.

- Kipu BI: Standard dashboards now include the latest data refresh date/time in UTC so that end users are able to see when the data in the dashboard was last refreshed following the ETL process that occurs about every 4 hours.
- Manage Users: We added a new multi-select drop-down to the Active Users tab so users can be filtered by registration status: Active, Pending, or Needs Verification. Select one or more of the options and click the Search button to filter down to those specific users. Check out our Manage Users Overview article for more information.
- Operations BI Dashboard: In the At A Glance tab, Average Length of Stay (ALOS) in the KPIs by Location and Program table should be labeled Location LOS (Length of Stay) for greater accuracy. The days in the ALOS are split between the locations the patient attended vs. assigning the LOS days to the location at discharge. The glossary was also updated with the metric definition. for more information on the Operations dashboard click here.
- Pharmacist Review Dashboard: Added the ability to filter by Medication, Patient, and Order Status (Active, Ended, and Discontinued), and updated the Date filter to include two days by default. More information on the Pharmacist Review dashboard can be found here.
- Intake BI Dashboard: The VOB tab now includes a line graph comparing total verifications and total admissions by admission date (month/year). For more information on the Intake BI dashboard, check out this article.

- Billing: Fixed an issue for customers using the Avea integration that caused the primary insurance to not show up in the EMR when a carve-out was documented in Avea.
- Billing: Fixed the batch claim preview so that it correctly displays only the data from the batches that were searched.
- Billing: Fixed an issue where unassigned programs were being unintentionally treated as valid programs in specific workflows for customers using the Bill by Program feature.
- Billing: Fixed a misleading aesthetic issue that caused a red billing validation to appear when it didn’t apply to the form the user was working on.
- Billing: Added the ability to filter by R-Codes in the Codes filter on the billing reports.
- Current Medication List on Evaluation Forms: Fixed the Current Medications display on evaluation forms so that they appear in alphabetical order.
- Dashboard: Fixed a Patient access restrictions issue that was allowing users with the Restrict all patients except for caseload permission to see patients whose care teams they were not on.
- Group Session Reports: Fixed an issue where the group session time was showing in the wrong time zone.
- Lab Requisitions: Fixed an issue where the ZIP Code was missing from the patient address.
- Recurring Ledger Entries: Fixed an issue where certain recurring ledger rules were not reflecting on client ledgers.
- Reports: Fixed Target Body Weight and TBW% columns misalignment in the History report for weight and height.
- Treatment Plans: Fixed an issue where the gray shading indicating a locked item in the treatment plan did not show for customers using Scheduler.
- User Permissions: Fixed an issue where users without Super Admin permissions were not able to see the Initial Coordinator dropdown in the VOB form despite having access to it.

Group Sessions: We enhanced the group session note UI to make it more clear when a user has set a group to run past midnight. The date will appear with a warning and the user will be able to click on the date to revise in the case that the time was selected in error. If the current day is selected, the system will automatically default to 11:59 pm and it can be adjusted from there. Check out our article on Group Sessions for more information.
- Group Sessions Topics: Topics now display alphabetically in the group session note, group session template, and the Topic template list view. For information on Group Session templates, click here.
- Group Session Topics Templates: We have added new validations to topic templates to ensure that all fields are filled out. We have also added checkboxes for locations and updated styling. Check out the Create Topics section of this article for more information.
- Group Session Topic Templates: The topics templates for Groups 2.0 have been enhanced so they can be location specific. Selecting locations on the template will control which topics appear as options in the topics field dropdown when adding to a group session template. It will also control which topics appear in the list view when on a specific location in a Master Instance. Notifications: We have updated the default email text for the following notifications to exclude PHI identifiers:
- Portal Document Completed
- Portal Treatment Plan Signed
- Portal Email Changed
- Portal File Uploaded
- Portal Consent Revoked
- Evaluation Signer Added
- Scheduler: Removed the 10-minute delay that occurred with the Manage Schedule Settings permission. Any addition or removal of this permission occurs in real-time. For more information on Scheduler permissions, click here.
- Users: Therapist & Edit Treatment Plans: Enhanced the Therapist role and the Edit Treatment Plans feature so that users with this role or feature enabled can continue to add goals, objectives, interventions, and statuses to a treatment plan evaluation in the edit view even after they’ve signed them and the document no longer has the In Use status. If the user does not have this role or feature enabled, they will only be able to see the read-only view once the document is signed. - Action Order Change: Fixed an issue where the Duration field auto populated to 0 when a user clicked the Change button to view or edit Action Order details.
- Consent Forms Restore: Fixed an error where the list of Deleted Client Consent Forms under Patient Consent forms didn’t show all deleted items.
- Consents: Fixed an issue where, when a guardian or guarantor revoked a consent, the label under their signature said “Revocation” instead of “Guardian” or “Guarantor”.
- Lab Requisitions: Fixed an issue causing a time-out error when creating Lab Requisitions in instances with large numbers of Medical Test Orders.
- Ledger: Fixed an issue where, if an incorrect date format was added to a ledger entry and then the entry was submitted, the ledger would display an error to fix the date, but when the user fixed the date and clicked Submit, the entry did not save.
- Ledger: Fixed an issue where a 500 error would appear on certain client Ledgers because an entry had an invalid date format entered for on of the ledger entries.
- Orders: Fixed an issue where Orders were defaulting to display oldest first instead of newest first.
- Recurring Evaluations: Fixed a display error where recurring evaluation forms were not showing in chronological order.
- Rooms Settings: Fixed an issue where a 500 error occurred when a user tried to delete a room assigned to a patient. Now the delete icon will be removed for rooms assigned to patients.
- User Permissions: Fixed an issue where when a Super Admins without the Manage Portal Settings role edited, enabled, or disabled the profile of a user with the Allow Documents Share and Available for Portal Messaging roles, those roles became disabled. Now those roles will remain enabled unless a Super Admin explicitly disables them.
