Portal Packages Release - December 18, 2023

The new Portal Packages functionality allows EMR users to share multiple forms with patients, or their contacts, in just a few clicks.

A user with the Allow Documents Share permission enabled will simply click the share icon anywhere in the chart, select the package, and share with the portal user(s).

Note: All forms in the package should exist in the patient’s chart before sharing.

When a package is shared with the portal user, they will receive an email notification advising them to log in to their portal and review the documents. The user will need to review each form and sign it individually.

To configure the portal packages with necessary forms, users with the Manage Portal Settings or Manage Portal Packages roles enabled must navigate to Settings > Portal > Packages (e.g., Intake package or Releases).

Check the full configuration information in the Patient Portal Packages article.

1.6.6 Scheduler Release Notes - December 14, 2023

New

  • Archived Charts: When a chart with appointments and/or group sessions assigned is marked as Archived all the current and future appointments will be automatically removed and any related appointment communications will be triggered as Canceled Appointments. Click here for more information on pre-admission charts.
  • Attendees Macro for Scheduler Appointment Communications: There is a new macro called Attendees which will populate based on whether a communication is being sent to a client or resource. This feature allows users to keep the same message format without having to create two separate communications for the client and the resource. For more information on appointment communications click here.
  • Client Chart Custom Date Range: We are introducing a new feature to the client chart where users can select a start and end date and then view all appointments and group sessions that occur during the chosen range. Click here for more information.
  • Find Availability Search: When searching for available resource times the total number of available time slots has been increased from 20 to up to 99. This field remains editable so each user can choose the number of available time slots they want to see before they. For more information, click here.
  • Find Availability Export and Print Options: Users now have the option to export and/or print the results of a Find Availability Search. The filters and the resulting available time slots will be included in the exported or printed versions. For more information click here.
  • Group Session Assignment Migration: If there are any differences between the current Scheduler template in the EMR and an older schedule assigned to a client during Group Session migration when Scheduler is enabled, then Scheduler will now allow a user to drop the schedule assignment for that client.
  • List View Customization: Users can now customize how the List View is displayed. All List View columns can be enabled, disabled, and ordered as the user desires. These customizations are unique to each user and can be accessed by a new gear icon when a user is in the List View. Additionally, columns for patient email and phone number have been added to the view. Both the Print and Export functions will also respect the customizations made by each user. For more information, click here.
  • Resource Schedule for Rooms: Selecting Room Resource from either the Scheduler Calendar or Resource Day Views will display all working hours and activity blocks assigned to that room. To learn how to manage rooms in Scheduler, click here. To learn how to create rooms click here. For information on the different Scheduler views click here.

Fixed

  • Archived Charts: Archived charts with appointments and/or group sessions will have their current and future appointments automatically removed. Any related appointment communications will be triggered as if the appointment/session was canceled.
  • Resource Schedule: Fixed an issue where certain screen resolutions caused time-out errors when adding activities to a Resource Schedule because the month view of the calendar didn’t load.
  • Resource Schedule Activities: Fixed an issue where working hours were duplicated when editing an existing Resource Schedule Activity’s recurrence days.

To set up durations, navigate to Settings > Billing > Codes and create or edit billing codes with the desired duration lengths. Click here for instructions on setting up codes.
  • Billing: Enhanced billable item logic so that it no longer removes inactive insurance from a billable item if the insurance was active when the date of service occurred.
  • Chart Auditor: When a user with the Chart Auditor role force closes a chart, the message will now say “Marked closed by” instead of “marked as complete by” to indicate that the user who closed the document didn’t necessarily complete it. For more information on group sessions click here, for information on the forms tabs (for evaluations and consents) click here.
  • Facesheet: New fields for Claims Address have been added. These fields are optional and available for all patient insurance companies. These address fields are not used for billing integrations and this information does not impact eligibility checks completed through VOBGetter.
  • Integrated Assessments: We removed the minimum height limit from the Weight/Height modal to accommodate measurements for babies and younger kids. For more information on adding height and weight in integrated assessments click here.
  • MAR: We updated the Time column in the MAR to drop the extra 0 in the hour to prevent confusion with the 24-hour format. For more information on the Med Log/MAR tab, click here.

  • MAT: We have implemented several fail-safes in the back end to prevent dose-generation failures.
