I connected a patient's guardian or guarantor to the portal as a patient. In other words, the portal user is connected to the correct patient, but with the incorrect relationship type. How do I fix this mistake?
Environment
Kipu EMR, Patient Portal, Roles: Super Admins, Features: Manage Users, Manage Portal Accounts

From your initials, click Manage Users.

Open the Portal Accounts tab. This tab shows both Patients and Contacts by default.

Filters: Use the available filters or search bar to narrow down your patient/contact list.

Locate the desired patient, and click on the Edit icon to open their Portal Account Details page.
- Click on the Disconnect icon next to the chart. Disconnect all charts with the wrong relationship if necessary.
- Open the patient’s facesheet.
- Make sure the guardian’s email is in the contact email field.

Click Invite to Portal next to the guardian’s contact.
- The patient/contact will need to set their password one more time to re-connect this chart to the portal user. They can use the same password they had before.
- Return to the portal user account page and update the portal user’s name to reflect the guardian’s name manually, otherwise, you will continue seeing the patient's name
