Issue
Evaluation forms with the Treatment Plan evaluation content have the ability to be signed in any order, with a few specific requirements. The Sign in Any Order checkbox must be enabled in the Template for the Treatment Plan form before it can be used.
Environment
Kipu EMR, Evaluations, Template Settings
Resolution
Below are the steps to sign first as a staff member, then sign as a guarantor.
Note: For these actions to work the patient chart must contain a Guarantor contact and/or a Guardian contact.
- Open the patient chart, then travel to the tab where the Treatment Plan form is located.
- Click on Add Form and select the Treatment Plan form with the Sign in any order feature enabled.
- Click the Pencil icon. Fill out the form, and then click on Sign & Submit.
- The patient will always sign first.
- After the patient's signature, the user can sign as the staff member.
- After the staff signature, the guarantor and guardian can sign.
- After the guardian/guarantor signs, then the Review signature can be presented. Once the Review signature is applied the Close Treatment Plan button will become available.
Note: At this time, signing with PIN does not work for treatment plans with Sign in any order functionality.
Additional Information
The patient always signs first, and the reviewer will always sign last. A treatment plan form will be marked as Complete once all the signatures are present and the Close Treatment Plan button is clicked. Otherwise, the Treatment Plan will be placed in the In Use status.
