How Do I Run an Occupancy Report?

  • Updated

Issue

I need to create a report on patient occupancy, length of stay, rooms used, and gender.

Environment

Kipu EMR, Reports: Operations, Roles: Super-Admin, Record-Admin, Features: View Reports, Manage Reports

Resolution

Super Admins, Records Admins, and users with the View Reports and Manage Reports features can run occupancy reports using the following instructions.

  1. To begin, select the Reports tab. You will land on the Public Reports subtab by default, where you can select the New Report button.

  2. Select Operations as the report type.

  3. Select Occupancy Snapshot from the Report Type drop-down menu.

  4. Choose a location from the drop-down options.
  5. Choose whether the report is editable and viewable by all users with the correct access, or just the owner of the report.
  6. Click on the Update button to run the report.

  7. Once the report runs, it can be found in the Reports tab by clicking the Last Updated header twice to show the most recently created report. If your instance has a Report Ready notification created, you will also get a notification in your Notification Inbox.

  8. To view the report click on the report name.

  9. When you open the report, you will see the following information. The report can be exported to Excel by clicking on the Export to CSV button. You can also edit the report, refresh the data, or export to XLS as needed.
