How Can I Review Medications Administered in a Certain Timeframe?

Issue

I need to verify that the medications in my facility are being administered as intended and review the records for any errors. 

Environment

Kipu EMR, Role: Super Admin, Features: Manage Reports, View Reports, Reports > Medications > Med Log

Resolution

A Super Admin, or a user with the Manage Reports or View Reports features enabled, can pull a report based on medications administered during a set time frame.

1. To begin, select the Reports > Medication > Med Log.
   
• Important
  The name of this tab may be different in your instance if the name has been changed under Settings > Clients.
2. Change the drop-down showing Current Census to Documented At, choose your timeframe in the From date and To date fields, and select the Search button.
   
• Optional: If you are looking for a specific medication or action order you can add it to the Medication/Action field.
  
3. Once the report runs, it displays results in descending order by the Documented At date.
   
4. If you want to view the data in chronological order instead of newest first, click on Documented At again. Additionally, you can use the arrows by the other columns to sort by that data.
   
5. You can export the report to Excel (Export to XLSX) or to CSV as needed.
   
6. Finally, you can click on the name of the patient or on their MR number to navigate to their chart.
