How Does the Populate With Forms Button Work?

  • Updated

Issue

The Populate with forms button only displays on the tab if no forms have been added yet. Use this button to automatically load all forms assigned to this tab that do not have the Load Manually option selected in the form settings.

Environment

Kipu EMR, Internal Roles: Super AdminsFeatures: Manage Templates and Manage Templates - Consents and Evaluations

Resolution

The Populate with forms function allows users to add multiple forms to the patient chart at once if no forms have been added in the tab. These are usually mandatory forms that must be completed for all patients, as configured in the form's templates by a Super Admin.

  1. To populate forms in a forms tab, simply click Populate with forms. mceclip6.png
  2. All forms assigned to the tab will appear. mceclip7.png
    • Important
If a form is assigned to a tab but marked as Load Manually in the template, it will not appear when you click Populate with forms.
  3. To add or remove the Load Manually function, a Super Admin or user with the Manage Templates feature can navigate to the Templates tab and click the pencil icon to edit the template.
  4. When the edit screen opens, you can check the Load Manually box to stop it from auto-populating or uncheck it so that the form populates automatically. When Load Manually is turned on, users have to click Add Form in the patient's chart to load the form.
