I Need to Add an Annotation but the Annotate Button is Missing.

  • Updated

Issue

I need to add an annotation to a form and I can't find the Annotate button.

Environment

Kipu EMR, Templates: Evaluations, User Functions

Resolution

Forms can only be annotated from the print/preview view (i.e., not in the edit mode).

  1. To begin, click on the name of the form.
  2. Scroll down to the bottom of the form to find the Annotate button.

Users with the Super Admin or Records Admin role can edit documents, and may not see the button if they access a form by clicking the edit pencil.

  1. To find the Annotate button, return to the form list and click on the name of the form.
  2. Scroll down to the bottom of the form to find the Annotate button.

Cause

  • A user with Super Admin permissions is using the edit pencil to enter the form, as a Super Admin they have the ability to edit completed forms so annotation is not necessary.
