How Do I Correct Individual Start/End Times in a Completed Group Session That Were Changed in Error?

Issue

The start or end time for a specific patient in a group session has been changed by mistake and the error was not caught until after it moved to the Completed status. How do I fix this problem so that the duration is correct for record and billing purposes? 

Environment

Kipu EMR, Group Sessions, Role: Super Admin & Records Admin 

Resolution

If a Group Session Start and/or End time was changed in error on one or more patients in the session, but not caught till after the session was signed and moved to Completed status, a Super Admin or a Records Admin can edit the completed session.

  1. Once the error is located select the Schedules tab, then the Past Group Sessions tab.
  2. If the Group Session does not show up on the first page use the Date Filters fields to search by the specific session date.
  3. Select the Edit Pencil button next to the correct group session.
  4. Locate the patient in the session whose time is incorrect.
  5. Use the Session start time and Session end time fields to correct the time.
  6. Scroll to the bottom of the group session and click the Update button to save your changes.
  7. The time will now display correctly on the patient's chart as well.
