Create Round Template

Let's review the process for creating a new Rounds template.

  1. Open Templates and choose Rounds.mceclip0.png
  2. Click + New Round.
  3. Complete the following information:mceclip1.png
    1. Title: Give the round a clear title, as this title will be used to choose the round to assign to the patient.
    2. Round Type: Options include Standard, Females only, or Males only. Gender-specific round types respect Gender Identity if used.
    3. Location: Choose a location. The round can only be assigned to patients in the selected location for master instances.
    4. Click Create Round.
  4. Set up the desired Interval in Hours and/or Minutes. You can select any interval up to 24 hours.mceclip2.png
  5. Use the checkboxes to log Vitals, Orthostatic Vitals, Height/Weight, and/or Glucose in your observation logs.mceclip4.png
  6. Select the Days of the Week the round should occur on. mceclip5.png
  7. Set round start and end timesmceclip6.png
    • Important: Rounds cannot extend into the next day (12:00 AM). This means if you need to do an overnight round, you will have to create two separate rounds. For example, a shift from 9:00 PM to 6:00 AM will require one round from 9:00 pm to 11:59 pm and another round from 12:00 am to 6:00 am.
  8. Assign a Building to the round, if applicable.mceclip8.png
  9. Assign individual Round Leader(s) if you need specific people to start this round. You can assign multiple users or not assign any round leaders.mceclip9.png
  10. Assign Round Role(s) if you need users with specific internal roles to start this round. You can assign multiple roles or assign none.mceclip10.png
  11. Assign Round Function(s) if you need users with specific functions to start this round. You can assign multiple functions or assign none. mceclip11.png
    1. If you do not assign a Round Leader, Role, or Function only Super Admins, Records Admins or users with the Manage or Review Rounds features can start this round.
  12. Once the round is ready for use, click the Enable checkbox.mceclip12.png
  13. The Rounds Template page auto-saves your updates, however, we recommend clicking Update Round to make sure everything is saved before exiting the page.

Edit: Click the Edit icon next to the round you'd like to update.

Note: In the master instance, you can change the location only if you have no patients assigned to the round. Drop the round from all listed patients to move the round template to another location.
