How Do I Add a New Problem to the Golden Thread Problem List?

Issue

I don't see the problem I need to assign to my patient when I click Possible problems based on current diagnoses within a treatment plan.

Environment

Kipu EMR, Internal Roles: Super Admins, Features: Manage Golden Thread

Resolution

If the problem you need to assign to a patient does not show up as an option in the list, and you have already verified that the patient has a diagnosis, a Super Admin or user with the Manage Golden Thread permission will need to edit the Golden Thread problem list under Settings.

1. To begin, navigate to Settings. 
   
2. Then click Golden Thread > Diagnosis.
   
3. From here, you can select a problem from the list in the left column to review the assigned diagnoses. The middle column will show the currently assigned diagnoses, while the last column will show the unassigned diagnoses.
   

To create a new item, use the following instructions.

1. Click New/Edit.
2. Click Add item.
   
3. Type in the problem.
   
4. Click Update.
5. Next, associate the Problem with the Objectives, Behavioral Definitions, and Diagnoses using the Assign button in the related tab. This ensures the system can quickly recognize and recommend the related items, making golden thread documentation accurate and efficient. The association process is described in each related section below.
