Scheduler Feature Release - December 11, 2025

Working Time Zone for Scheduler

Overview

We're excited to introduce the Working Time Zone feature for Scheduler. This enhancement allows you to accurately manage and display scheduling information for resources who work across different time zones, ensuring appointments and availability are always shown in the correct local time. Check out the Resource Schedules article for more information.

What's New

  • Working Time Zone Configuration: Each resource can now have a designated working time zone configured in their Resource Schedule. When adding or editing a Resource Schedule, you'll find a new dropdown field labeled "Working Time Zone" that displays all available global time zones. Select the time zone where the resource physically works to ensure their schedule displays accurately.

  • Automatic Default Setting: To simplify setup, the Working Time Zone field automatically defaults to your organization's instance time zone configured on the Kipu Account page. You can easily change this to reflect each resource's actual working location.

  • Clear Time Zone Visibility: For quick reference, the Scheduler now displays a time zone abbreviation (such as EST, PST, or CST) next to each resource name when a working time zone has been configured. This makes it easy to see at a glance which time zone each provider operates in.

  • Accurate Working Hours Display: The Calendar View now automatically adjusts working hours and activities based on each resource's designated working time zone. This ensures that availability blocks and appointments are displayed in the correct local time, preventing scheduling conflicts and confusion.

Benefits

  • Improved accuracy: Schedule appointments with confidence knowing that working hours reflect each resource's actual local time

  • Multi-location support: Seamlessly manage resources across different geographic locations and time zones from a single scheduler

  • Reduced scheduling errors: Eliminate confusion caused by time zone differences when coordinating appointments

  • Clear visual indicators: Quickly identify which time zone each resource operates in with at-a-glance abbreviations

  • Simplified configuration: Smart defaults streamline setup while allowing flexibility for resources in different locations

16.68.0.0 - December 3, 2025

New

  • Doctors Orders: Added an error message that appears when the Pending Discontinue Rcopia setting is enabled and pending discontinue orders must be reconciled before discharging a patient. Check out this article for more information on discontinuing, canceling, or continuing orders on discharge.
    • “The discharge date cannot be entered because there are pending discontinue orders. Please review and reconcile these orders in the Doctor Orders tab before entering a discharge date.”
  • Doctors Orders: Enhanced the “Some orders are not signed” alert shown during chart closure to clearly identify the specific order number that must be reviewed and signed.
    • The following orders have not yet been signed and must be signed in order to continue: PatientOrder ID (#), PatientOrder ID (#). The forms above need to be completed or removed before the case file can be closed.
  • MAT Pump: Konnectors that have been used by a pump can no longer be deleted. Instead, they can be disabled if they are no longer in use. For more information on the MAT konnector, check out this article.
  • New Med Log (MAR): We’ve added support for documenting patient pain levels directly in the new Med Log. Users can record a pain scale rating from 1–10, include optional comments for added context, and view trend analysis over time to better track changes in patient status. Click here for more information on the new Med Log.

Additionally, we have included patient.pain_scale and patient.pain_scale_current as field types in Templates > Evaluations, and this information will be included in Private and Public Single Evaluation and History Reports. For more information on evaluation templates, click here.

You must enable the option under Settings > Instance for it to appear as an option.

  • MAT Log: The MAT Log page now has its own dedicated URL, making it easier to access and share.

Fixed

  • Evaluations: Fixed an issue where completing an evaluation form led to an incorrect leave site warning. Users can now complete evaluations as intended.

14.67.0.1 - December 2, 2025

Fixed

  • Labs: Fixed an issue where the Generate/Print label button disappeared for some clients (specifically, in requisitions for patients with numerical-only MR numbers).
