Issue
Answers keep being missed on forms, how do I stop that from happening?
Environment
Kipu EMR, Roles: Super Admin, Settings: Instance, Forms: Evaluations
Resolution
A User with the Super Admin Role will need to update the Kipu EMR Settings to require all fields to be completed and the form itself to be verified before it can be signed.
- Select your Initials in the top right corner, then select Settings.
- Select the Instance tab.
- Scroll down to the Patient Options section and check the box for Validate Evaluations When Signing, then scroll to the bottom and select the Update button.
Tip: To quickly locate this setting, use Ctrl + F (Windows) or Cmd + F (Mac) and type in the word "validate".
- When this setting is enabled, there will be a Validate Assessment button next to the Sign & Submit button.
- If you try to sign without a form that has blank fields, you will receive an error message that shows what is missing and that the form needs to be validated prior to signing.
Important:
If your facility uses a Master Instance, the Validate Evaluations When Signing option is instance-wide and not location-specific. It is recommended to make sure all locations are aware of the change prior to enabling so there is no confusion causing the feature to be turned off and on between locations.
